Citizen Design Science project is a participatory approach in urban planning and designing by which the citizens take part in the decisions and approaches of the city planning. This plays an important role in developing the cities because it is the inhabitants which live in city, that makes it liveable and what triggers the life in it. If the citizen decides the ways in which cities get shaped up, it will automatically lead to a more liveable environment and make the city a more comfortable place to live in. This is the whole idea behind citizen design science project, where the citizen becomes the architect of the city. A lot of elements and ideas can be incorporated and suggested by the citizens in accordance to their levels experiences for an ideal city and bring out various schemes in the city which finally improve the existing conditions of life in their surroundings. This whole concept also involves behind the idea of sustainability as well as ensures a more safe and secure environment. Considering sustainability, it is important to consume the existing resources judiciously in order to use them for future needs, enhance both current and future potential to meet human needs.
