It is difficult to know for certain which parts of the house photographed come from a globalized economy, as the company who constructs them, KB Home, offers a high level of customization in their available features. Some research into the company's building practices revealed that they make a concerted effort to reduce their carbon footprint by using American made products, thus reducing the amount of transportation required to get materials to the building site. However, it is reasonable to assume that if not this house, then at least one of the others in the surrounding development have at least one of the internationally sourced upgrades, which include bamboo flooring imported from South America and Energy Star appliances, which are made in several different countries around the world. Aside from the obvious globalization of building materials, the residents buying these future homes may be immigrants from countries besides the United States.
