I live in Mexico City, this is our City and one of the most polluted and hot because of the UHI The other picture is La Marquesa, a rural community 30 mins far away from the city. The difference in temperature is about 13 Celsius degrees I think we got a horrible mistake by no having more parks and nature around us. Everything is building and huge of them with a lot of concrete. Our streets are really hot during days and the pollution just make it worse. We need to have more open spaces and narrow places. The city mayors have been trying to cool the temperature and decrease the number of cars on the streets and more green policies, but we havent change so much.
