1. In sequence: Oil, Gas and Coal 2. Oil - Transport - 58% Gas - Other (probably mainly housing) - 50% Coal - Power station - 91% 3. The UK has a large potential of wind power (both on-shore and off-shore) which can be combined with several existing water reservoirs to store energy in during peak times. On smaller scale biofuel from forests and waste can help producing electricity. There is now a push for nuclear technology, but the issue of storage of waste has not been resolved yet. The biggest 'greening' of the energy supply is by reducing the amount of energy used. There are a large number of uninsulated homes and older industry equipment that can be renovated to reduce the energy usage. Furthermore the public transport and non-fossil fuel options (especially cycling) could be expanded and especially for trains electrified where effective, but the reduction of energy usage is less than the previous option.
