1. Miami is 17 degrees F hotter than nearby rural areas, for instance. I saw similiar things for every city I examined. 2. I could not find data about Helsingborg, where I live. However, green areas in the city are disappearing when the city is densified - and there is a lot of construction going on. Lots of green areas are made into concrete and asphalt. This of course decreases the ability to lower the temprature in the city. 3. I would suggest to choose light/white colors on the new building, and also try to incorporate vegetation in the buildning. Maybe walls covered with green and roof terraces. Maybe some urban farming as well? 4. No, not in any scale at least.
