The main UHI effects that I can identify in the densified area are the wind barriers of the building environment, the direct solar radiation because of the lack of tree canopy, the reflection of solar radiation - spetially from glass facade buildings - and the irradiation that comes from the pavement, priorly from the asphalt. 3. The first and more important measure that I'd propose, would it be to plant an enormous amount of trees partially already developed to provide shade to all pedestrians and reduce the direct solar radiation in the surface. 4. There are some policies that can reduce the UHI effect, but I've never seen they being explained as to fight it.
