The i-care city app is a smartphone application that allows city dwellers to take photos of issues affecting quality of life in areas such as garbage, water, transportation, energy, safety, health, education, The app automatically sends the photos with short descriptions of the problems identified, the time of the photo and their GPS coordinates for geo-referencing. The photo is plotted on a city map on the Internet site of the City Hall accessible to all, allowing the immediate location of the occurrence. People can also make complaints, monitor the progress of their grievances and interact with city planners and other city dwellers, providing a better reflection on the city's problems. In addition, the application is able to make measurements of noise, temperature and air quality of the neighborhoods where they live, the workplace and routes. The information is captured by the smartphone and automatically sent to the City Hall website.
