Two hidden features from visible: 1. Approximate number of people living in each building (via the labelled name plates on the front of the buildings, 2. Local seasonality/weather conditions (via the plants in the hanging baskets). Knowing the approximate number of people living in each building allows better city planning. If you know how populated an area is, you have better information for water and sewer planning, road construction, laying out public transportation routes, etc., which all contribute to a more liveable city.
