1. my top 5 criteria for livability: 1. safety 2. environment 3. housing 4. infrastructure 5. recreation possibilities 2. The five most important reasons why I live in Utrecht (Netherlands) 1. Utrecht is a really central city 2. Utrecht is really close to Amsterdam, but more affordable 3. Utrecht is a really beautiful city with an old city center 4. My friends live here 5. I can still park my car in front of my door without paying 3 & 4. The livability score of Utrecht to my opinion en what I would change: I give Utrecht 90 out of 100 points. Utrecht is really beautiful with it's old city center and it is located really central in the Netherlands. I always feel really safe and there is a lot to do. However, Utrecht has to deal with really serious congestion problems. It sometimes takes me more than half an hour to get into the city. There are also way to less parking places. Utrecht is really dense, this can be a problem with so many cars. Than there is also a housing problem. the demand for houses is much greater than the supply. This makes the houses really expensive.
