The image shows the Graben in Vienna, a urban square in the very centre of the city. Many people are walking in the pedestrian area enjoying the beautiful backdrop of the buildings or looking at shop windows. The amount of people occupying the public space could be measured through CCTV or presence of smartphones. An other parameter that could be measured is the attractiveness of some shops or cafés, maybe also over a span of a day. This last parameter could help the municipality to give the licence to some shops that attract people in different moment of the day, in order to let the human presence flow all time.
