FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"

Berlin is a city with a large number of parks, the image shows the "Tiergarten", which is perhaps the most popular and largest park not only in Berlin but in the whole Germany. Two phenomena can be identified in the photograph: 1- Lack of public transport in the area: buses or trains connecting the tourist area of the Berlin Victory Column. 2- The lack of parking spaces in the surrounding area, which is observed with cars parked in the separator and on the roadsides. In this case, the image reveals that it might be a bit cumbersome for a driver (on a busy day or weekends) to find a parking space. Similarly, it could be risky for drivers at the moment of getting off their vehicles, as they would be exposed to direct traffic in the middle of a main road. This information can be used by local authorities for planning and construction of future car parks in the surrounding area as well as for planning new bus routes that better cover a tourist area such as this one.
