1. In Minneapolis the city is u to 22 degrees hotter than the nearby rural areas. 2. UHI intensity is a common occurence in Poznań with a mean annual intenisty of 1.0 C degrees. The UHI intensity is greater during the warm half of the year. Comparing the two pictures i submited I can say that payvements, buildings, vehicles and air pollution submit to the UHI effect in the city. 3. Building green infrastucture and planting trees and other vegetations can help reduce heat island effect. 4. In my city there is many programmes that support building green areas in the city and also using renewable energy sources is getting more and more popular.
