A house in Switzerland contains many imported materials. Stones from Italy, building techniques from Germany… The reason is not always because we don´t have the materials in our country (even tough we´re really small), but because often it is much cheaper outside of Switzerland. And of course these countries are close to us. Therefore materials get imported! In the picture you can see a part of a house. The windows are imported from Germany (also installed by their experts), the stone comes from Italy. Like here, often the houses are mixtures of materials from neighbor-countries of Switzerland.
