Module 3 - compulsory Exercise: Livability Criteria Joey Aoun, Newcastle, England, UK 1. Which are your top livability criteria? 1. Health Care 2. Housing 3. Safety 4. Education 5. Environment 2. Why do you live where we live? I Live at Newcastle upon Tyne and originally, I come from Beirut, Lebanon. I moved in here to pursue my postgraduate studies. Here are few of the reasons that made my choice definite: 1. A compact city that has everything within a walking distance (Accessibility/ Good Infrastructure) 2. Affordable 3. Safe 4. Good Level of Education 5. Respect of the human Well Being 3. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria? The criteria selected in Question 1 being the basics needs, where I live surely score a high percentage when it comes to fulfilling those criteria: 1. Health Care (100%) 2. Housing (100%) 3. Safety (100%) 4. Education (90%) 5. Environment (70%) What they do lack in here is Business opportunities. Overall criteria fulfillment (80%) 4. What would you change? As I already said, I would work on Business development in the area. 5. Why do we move? Singapore, Australia, England 1. Safe 2. Business Opportunities/ High GDP 3. Prosperity/ Good standard of living 4. Successful transportation system 5. Culture
