Safety Housing Transportation Culture Political stability I live in Porto Alegre, Brazil. The reason I am currently living here are: I am studying at the University, UFRGS; The city has better job opportunities; The city has more access to cultural situations; The city is bigger than my city of birth. If we analyze Porto Alegre from the perspective of the criteria that I selected as the most importants, the city would have a 40, maybe 45. The city is not safe, the housing is not affordable, the transportation system is not good, there is no political stability, but it has a good access to cultural situations. But considering a general livability score, I would give a 65 to the city, because it has better job opportunities, good access to education, a lot of green spaces, among others. If I could move somewhere else I would like to live in Toronto, or Rotterdan, or Groningen. The reasons I would chose these cities are because they are safer, they have access to culture, they are politically stable, they have good job opportunities, and diversity is respected.
