From the cities that I have been, the top 5 most liveable cities are: Toronto, CA Valencia, ES Madrid, ES San Francisco, USA Barcelona, ES To me, the main charactheristics that make a city liveable are: Afordable housing, Efficient public transportation, Safety, Diversity, Good health system. In the city that I live, Porto Alegre, Brazil, none of the charactheristics that I listed are good. We do not have afordable housing, the public transportation system is terrible, there is no safety in the streets, and the health system is overflowed. A way of making this city better would be for the local government to tackle the main problems that keep people from getting interest in the urban environment, which would be the safety and the transportation. If the government could improve those services the inhabitants could participate more in the creation of city data, in the city planning, and in developing the city.
