Citizen science project: My idea is to involve citizen in the collection of pollution data. Both via people in their daily mobility, but also stationed in apartments. The idea is to make a map of pollution infrastructure and producing an app showing that infrastructure, so it will be possible to avoid or using it as policy tool. At the same time that people collect data they would be invovled in the process and education of turning data into information and then into knowledge. The idea is also to produce a critical and scientifically trained public more capable of being drawn into city governance. And it gives a platform for citizens to make demands of the politicians by distributing knowledge and data. You would need to distribute pollution detection devises and train them in using them and make sure that the data has the quality needed to use it to generalize it. At the same time you could spread awareness of the problem by advertising the project and making a product (the app) that can reach more people. The project would mostly be public but make room for some collaboration with clean tech firms, software developers or other interested private partners.
