Module 3 – Compulsory Exercise 1. Top Liveability Criteria a. Job opportunities b. Education c. Environment d. Transportation e. Culture 2. I live in Aberdeen, Scotland a. Family b. Education c. Transportation d. Job opportunities e. Safety 3. Aberdeen Personal liveability score: 60 General liveability score:50 4. While there is good job prospects and infrastructure in Aberdeen there is poor recreation possibilities and a sense of wider culture activities in the city 5. Cities I would choose to live in: a. Valencia Having had the opportunity to spend a short time in this city I was very impressed with the quality of life offered. A beautiful park runs through the city which encourages you to walk everywhere and makes city transportation a pleasurable experience. It is recently exploring redeveloping the city and has brought about many cultural experiences and recreational possibilities. With this development also comes a good degree of job opportunities. b. Venice Having had the opportunity to visit this city multiple times, it has developed a ‘homely’ feeling for me personally, due to my memories in that city. It is because of this extremely subjective factor that I would enjoy living here. However, it also has many objective pulls including a good transportation system, job opportunities and recreational possibilities. c. Valletta Again this is a city with much to offer culturally and architecturally. The city offers a strong degree of both job prospects and recreational possibilities. The climate is also an advantage of the city allowing an outdoor lifestyle to be achieved. The reasons I have selected these cites are: a. Culture b. Environment c. Transportation d. Housing e. Job Opportunities
