1: List the five most liveable cities that you know, based on your own experience and judgment, placing the most liveable city at the top of the list. 1-Tokyo, Japan | 2-Amsterdam, The Netherland | 3-Seoul, South Korea | 4-Bangkok, Thailand | | 5-Chiengmai, Thailand 2: Describe in your own words five characteristics that according to your opinion make a city liveable. Order them placing the most important at the top of the list. * 1-Variety of neighborhoods 2-Accommodation of transportation 3-Safety and Social discipline 4-Good infrastructures 5-Nice weather 3: Describe the status of your own city in terms of the five characteristics that you listed above. Propose how your city should/could be transformed in relation to these characteristics in order to be more sustainable. Bangkok is my own city. I kind of like Bangkok in term of it is lively, it is gradually grown in the way of variety of neighborhood. It is easier to get from point to point compare to many growing cities such as, HCMC or Vientiane. It is safety in Bangkok if you know where you can stay and where you cannot. Most people in Bangkok are good-mind, they are easy people. Bangkok has not much social discipline but we try to make it happen. It has better and better infrastructures. The weather is not bad if you like hot :) I think Bangkok is growing in the way of more sustainable and liveable by the government should make the Law stronger like Singapore. If the Bangkokian has more discipline and safety the city must be more liveable. And it should has better mass public transportation to make the people travel easily to reduce private car amount. The city must be more sustainable.
