1. Which are your top livability criteria? 1. Culture 2. Education 3. Infrastructure 4. Political Stability 5. Safety 2. Why do we live where we live? My name is Andreas Guevara-Nadeau, I am a local university student in the city of Edinburg, Texas. It is a small and very fast-growing city close to the Mexican-American border. It hosts the largest university’s main campus in the southern part of Texas. The livability of the city goes – 1. The city is located where people can experience 2 distinct cultures (Mexican and American Culture). 2. It hosts the biggest university in the area that spans 5-6 counties and it is the largest serving Hispanic institution and first-generation college students in the US. 3. With the explosion of population and large incoming of immigrants, new and large infrastructure is undertaken. 4. A large reason for Mexican immigrants going into the United States is for political stability. 5. The city prioritize safety in the area because of university and the large youth population. 3. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria? 3a. I would want a stronger incentive to stronger and faster building infrastructure, as well, more uniformity to the architecture. 5. Why do we move? Austin, Texas.
