1. Which are your top livability criteria? My top 5 livability criteria: 1-Job Opportunities 2- Economy 3-Sanitation Standards 4-Infrastructure 5-Transportation 2. Why do we live where we live? I live in Turin, in Italy. My top 5 reasons why I live in Turin are: 1- Turin offers good job opportunities for job seekers; as one of the Italy's most important cities, Turin has very prestigious architectural and design firms for architects and also offers many technical and professional jobs related to industry, technology and infrastructure. 2- Turin's infrastructure system responds sufficiently to the exigencies of a growing metropolitan city. 3- Turin's transportation system works very well and it is well diffused within the urban and extra urban territory with more than 100 bus lines, tramways, and 2 subway lines. Turin is also very accessible by Train and Airlines. It has two railway station and an international airport. 4-Turin is a cultural city. almost each week there is a cultural event organized by commune or by its associated organizations and NGO's held in the historic town of the city. besides, Turin host a numerous museum events, artistic venues like the international Film festival. 5-Turin offers different accommodation and housing solutions. Converted lofts, studios, apartments and villas are different housing alternatives within the city and its urban context. 3. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfil your ideal livability criteria? I think living in Turin satisfies me at least 60-70%. Of course , having a job is a decisive and determining factor which highly influences in my judgement. 4. What would you change? If I was the mayor of Turin, I would try to revitalize the abandoned central industrial complexes and make them again active compartments of the urban context; moreover, I would definitely invest on extending the sustainability and using the renewable energy resources into urban and suburban context; I would try to create new investing opportunities in order to improve the economy of the city; I would encourage investors and real stators to invest in the historic buildings in order to revitalize again the degraded parts of the historic town of the city. I would definitively get citizens involved in my policies for the future of their city. 5. Why do we move? If I decide to move, my three choises would : 1-New York 2-Sidney 3-Geneve I think all my top 5 livability criteria are applicable to these cities.
