The above pics shown in the collage are of the city of Panchkula one of the satellite towns of Chandigarh. 1.Most important stocks and flows entering and staying in and eventually leaving the area are: Working Population (Govt. employees in the city) Students staying in the city as Paying guests came for academic purposes. Poor migrants entering and leaving the city in want of employment for earning livelihood Housing stocks and flow in the city for various segment of population Cars , vehicles stocks and flow in the city. 2. The above Photographs show the presence of Govt. Housing stocks in exposed brick work as stock of housing for flow of employees on rental basis on tenure basis as per the posting duration of the employees. In front of that in the open area there are slums or temporary shelters made by the migrants. Here no housing solution is there for migrant population mostly engaged in construction activity or household help. The above pic shows the flow of vehicles during the day working hours in the commercial parking and then this flow of vehicles shifted to residential areas during the evening and night.During day it is stock of vehicles in commercial areas. Some Photographs shows the Housing stock available for public in private sector and above pic shows new construction of housing block as flow of housing in private sector. 3. The study and analysis of this stocks and flows in the city will help in finding solutions for providing housing to all sections of the society by exactly knowing the shortage areas and requirements. Will help to solve the traffic problem and to explore the feasibility of more sustainable public transport solution for the city as per the requirements of the people.
