I used to live in Tehran, and this is a presentation of the commute choices that I had before quitting my job. Unfortunately the inconvenience that I had to bear every single day on my way to workplace was one of the main factors which made me decide to quit my job. The inefficiency in public transportation system and the predominance of highways on the city layout in Tehran has made it mobility-impaired.There you have to either stand the inconvenience of crowded stuffy public transportation, or waste your time on heavy traffics. Otherwise you have to stay at home because there's no other choices. walking is not a good idea since whatever direction you go towards, you'll face a highway cutting your path. Now after 4 months that I left Tehran and moved to Karaj,Despite being unemployed,I feel much better. I walk more easily, so I don't feel as if I'm a prisoner anymore.
