As I live in Paris, I consider as the most importants stocks and flows: 1. The river 2. Culture 3. Tourists The river is a important stock and flow for Paris as it's used as a transportation way; creates public spaces related to it (as the photo that I uploaded shows), and it's used for commercial activities, such as transportation of construction materials and food to supply the supermarkets. The culture is another stock for Paris, by its amount of Museums and Libraries open to the public, culture spaces are used by the population and are protected by the government as special dispositive for society development. Also the tourists are important stock and flow, as they foment the economy, make small and large scale business work, such as hotels, airports, shops and museums. During high seasons, the flow of tourists changes the rhythm of the city and transforms the environment. I guess that in the future, the river could be used as an scape for the over crowded public transportation in the city, by creating not only touristic transport, but also regular lines for the inhabitants and take full advantage of the water in the city. The same for the museums and the tourists. The museums in Paris are mostly paid, so I guess if we transformed these museums in free-entry spaces, more people could take profit of it and it would help to develop a more evolved population.
