After watching the previous videos related to the Stock and Flows Sections, it is noted that all data and information in any city could be classified as stock and flows data. For the area of Dubai City as am living currently there and experienced the city architectural and urban market, i choose to talk about oil "Petrol" at the first place. United Arab Emirates is known as a great resource of oil in the region and around the world. The amount of oil exported yearly is considered to be a good economic resource for the country. This quantity of oil reserved underground is classified as a Stock Quantity as one day this amount will finish and the exported and used quantity represent the flow data of the oil as it is decreasing. Therefore, the country is shifting its vision nowadays towards the sustainable resources in order to have a backup resource for the energy in the coming short period as the era of petrol will be gone someday soon when the reservoirs of oil get empty. Additionally, Dubai is known recently with its new mega and small projects. Moreover, this city is hosting many events and conferences which as a result the population density and human resources required for work has increased. the flow of people entering and residing in dubai for the sake of work is considered as a very great example of stock and flows. The gulf countries are known as a desert countries as so United Arab Emirates. The area of deserted areas which are full of sands is considered as a stock data for a long time. However, with the continous city development and construction beside the increasing density of the city, the urban development is moving towards the deserted areas and thus overtime the hilly sandy areas are following a decreasing flow diagram. The buildings and mega projects are ocuupying nowadays the big deserted areas. In my point of view any change in stock and flows in the future could be a benefit or a damage. This depends on the velocity of change and the way the data is increasing or decreasing. The attached photo is taken personally in Dubai city showing the city projects developments.
