I'm showing potential routes from home to my son's school. My usual choice is route 1 , the subway (MRT), which is not the quickest but preferable because: - timing is predictable (no hold-ups due to traffic, trains run at 6 min intervals) - near the start of the line so can get a seat (unlike the bus) - being on public transport rather in the car frees us to study or read - it has more streamlined changes than the bus route - it is better for the environment than driving - the short walk at the end is good incidental exercise
