First I want to express that I fully understand that the course us more urban focused, but I think its important to look at construction materials in every scale and in all social contexts. the image above is a house we build for a former politician, the picture shows many construction materials that are not from colombia, cream marble, LED lights, chilean tempered glass, actually the onlt thing that is colombia is the paint and ceiling. so as we saw in the unit the problem is the carbon mark on this materials. I we can't recycle this floor wiout loosig its culities, and in the country there is no marble. this marble was brougt from alicante spain, the brought by truck to a port, ship to colombian port, truck from port to distribution center in north Colombia, truck from there to the capital for storage, then sold to us and brought in truck to the house. same thing with the brazilian wood for the stair steps, chinese LEDs and Chilean glass. not that sure if the steel is colombian. but I think the image speaks your point.
