My name is Carolina, I´m from Campinas-SP-Brasil. My top livability criteria are: 1 - Environment 2 - Culture 3 - Education 4 - Economy 5 - Transportation I'am originally from Limeira-SP; but I live in Campinas-SP because (1) it offers high quality education (I´m graduated in Architecture and Urban Planning by the Universidade Estadual de Campinas); (2) It has a strong economy and as a consequence (3) it offers better job opportunities; (4) In addition, it is closer to São Paulo, which facilitates networking opportunities, and (5) it is a lively city with strong cultural scenario. It offers high quality universities, has one of the strongest economies in Brasil and offers a good cultural agenda. So the scores would be: 1 - Environment - 80/100 2 - Culture - 80/100 3 - Education - 100/100 (Public Universities) 70/100 (Public Schools) 4 - Economy - 80/100 (as long as you are qualified) 5 - Transportation - 50/100 However, it offers poor, low quality transport (always overcrowded) and health care systems, and the living costs are high (mostly housing values), so the overall score would be 50/100. image: Line 3.69 - Campinas (The bus I take to work) First I would improve transportation, offering other transport systems besides the local bus system, which is overcrowded and inefficient. Secondly, I would try to provide a better health care structure. Then, I would provide incentives to private sector to build affordable housing projects to reduce the demand and lower the prices for buying or renting houses/apartments at the central areas. Londres 1- Environment; 2-Economy; 3-International Connectivity; 4-Culture; 5- Infrastructure New York 1- Environment; 2-Economy; 3-International Connectivity; 4-Culture; 5- Infrastructure São Paulo 1-Job opportunities; 2-Culture; 3-Economy; 4- Infrastructure; 5- Environment; They are dynamic, hyper-cultural cities, with strong economies, good education systems, job opportunities, infrastructure and efficient public transport systems. They also are relatively safe and provide good public spaces.
