The picture is showing the development of residential buildings in Amsterdam. Starting from the left side: the oldest building, it’s a typical Dutch style building made in bricks and decorative glass and wood. Following there is one building from the 1960, we can see the presence of concrete floor and metal sticks in the terraces and the prefabricate windows frames. After that there is more recent building, one big block divided in strips that have big windows on the lower floor. The presence of big window is typical from construction from the 2000 in the Netherlands. At the end of the image there are two more visible and interesting buildings: on is concrete tower with metal sticks for the terrace, from the 1990, and the last one is the big office space building that is made out of steel frames and windows from 1960.
