Stocks and Flows of my city: 1.Food: Food has been a constant flow of the city.Food enters our city as raw vegetables mostly from hinterlands in the south of the city. It is transported to the main markets of the city from where it is bought by the local public and shop keepers. The food is then cooked at home and finally it becomes a waste product which is collected and taken out of the city for waste disposal. The waste disposal plants could be used for energy generation for betterment of the city. 2.Density: The population living within the city is varying constantly as a flow as many residents of the city moved to larger cities for seeking better business and job opportunities. While many people have migrated to the city from rural areas which has resulted in an increased urban sprawl. 3.Fuel: Fuel has been another flow within the city as it is transported from other countries and brought to the city for use. The fuel is finally blown away as carbon dioxide and other emissions into the air. The fuel could be replaced by renewable resources such as solar energy and could become greener than ever before.
