My name is Maria, currently I live in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia. My proposal for Citizen Design Project would be about a crowdsourcing Project about the public spaces, the meeting places of the city. Furthermore, it is important to create easy and accessible channels of communication between the government and the citizens. The best solution would be a mobile-phone application, were anyone at anytime may use it, and that will give the citizens the opportunity to communcate their problems. The platform will centralize data and information gathered by many citizens in different parts of the city. The department of urban planning will take action in this matter by the ammount of people who support the complaint. The plan will start by creating a reunion were residents will present their situation and why they will want to change this place. Then, the experts and citizens participate in an interactive workshop. Both will have to discuss the different ideas and agree in a final proposal represented by the expert. Next, all the projects are shown to all the residents and they would vote for the best one. After a hard working design process, the residents would be involve in the construction process, were they will be informe of the fases accomplish. Afterwards, when the intervention is finished, the urban planning department will make a formal ceremony to give the finished project to the citizens as a gesture of entrust the watchfulness and care of this new meeting place.
