1. Which are the main UHI effects that you can identify in your area? The highest average temperature recorded in June that is 42.3 °C (108.1 °F) while the lowest was recorded in September that is 24.9 °C (76.8 °F) while the rural areas have the same temperature records. The rural areas surrounding multan have the same or higher temperatures which indicates that the city of Multan does not experience the urban heat island effect. 2. Which are the measures you would propose? Despite the absence of the UHI effect in the city of multan, Punjab Pakistan I would suggest planting more trees, adding green spaces to the city, use of public transport, designing sustainable buildings to prevent the suffering from the UHI effect in the future. 3. Is UHI effect concerning policy making in your area? No but the city planning does include green spaces and does encourage the construction of sustainable buildings and use of public transport.
