1) my place of residence is not included in this so I am using NYC which is where I was born and my parents reside. 2) NYC is up to 20 degrees hotter than nearby rural areas. The summer also averages 2.7 degrees hotter than the surrounding rural areas. Country Club Bronx ![NYC][1] 3) Increase use of reflective roofing and green space on rooftops. An increases in the use of bike sharing and continued improvement to pedestrian paths. Extra incentives to increase the amount of people taking mass transit and walking to work. 4)I know that the move to bike sharing with citybike is used and there are some programs encouraging green roofs. NYC is a place that has great urban planers so i am sure that they are continuously working on this topic from different angles.
