Top Livability Criteria: 1. Safety 2. Job Opportunities 3. Education 4. Environment 5. Housing Where I Live San Jose, CA, USA I live there because of job opportunities, has good education for my kids, and is close to San Francisco. When we moved here, housing was still reasonable, much more than it is now. San Jose is also working on its sustainability and Green Vision plan, including renewable energy, composting, and walkability and urban mobility options. Picture is from: http://familypedia.wikia.com/wiki/San_Jose,_California Rating Fulfilling the ideal: 60 General livability: 77 (http://www.areavibes.com/san+jose-ca/livability/) What would I change * Increase affordable housing - the Bay Area is going through a housing crisis * Increase mass transit options - Bay Area traffic is 5th worst in the US Where I would move * I would not move. I love where I live. However, if for travel, I would love to check out Singapore, Seattle, WA and Portland, OR. And the ideal factors of livability I mentioned in the first section plays into why I chose these cities.
