1.I found a distinctive difference in US causing by UHI According to climate central website: Las Vegas (7.3°F) Albuquerque (5.9°F Denver (4.9°F) Portland (4.8°F) Louisville (4.8°F) Washington, D.C. (4.7°F) Kansas City (4.6°F) Columbus (4.4°F) Minneapolis (4.3°F) Seattle (4.1°F) 2.I guess the transportation and urban design plan has contribute a lot to this phenomenon,First of all,with the constitution of two circular highroads,the centre of Chengdu didn't undergo much traffic tension any more,to the contrary, the circular highroad shoulder much responsibility of transport.Besides,the form of circular highroads resembles with the image about UHI. Moreover,urban design plan of Chengdu maybe the other cause which leads to make local residents move to a more exterior circle of the city and make factories be out of city. 3.For me, I would suggest the government public raw to restrain the over-development in some specific area,providing some channel for wind.Thus,wind ventilation can depress the urban heat island effect.Furthermore,reserving parks,plants and public area must has the highest priority,decreasing UHI effect. 4.My city government did do some resolutions to UHI,such as remove many factory to suburban.But,the effect is not very obvious.
