I would like to convert a small pocket space in the city and turn it into a sort of device in which can filter and combat the pollution in the city. Nowadays, the pollution became a main topic concerned by the planner and citizen. As the level of air get worst due to many important factors in the city such as automobile users, removal of big trees, release toxin from factory and etc. The project I would like to set up using Citizen Design Science is monitoring the air quality of the city and analysing the way in which a pocket green space can contribute to reduce the level of pollution. The following is the criteria of Citizen Design Science. 1. Creating a monitoring app or a device as a platform to generate data of air quality. Each residence can join the campaign by sign up on the website and download the app or get a monitoring device as part of data collection. All the data can send directly to the collective server where it performs and concludes into an outcome. For instance, the result can be that we need to plant more trees to absorb the level of carbon dioxide in the air. 2. Mapping out the pocket of residue space in the city or it can initially be neighbourhood and ask the permission from the council to turn it into urban landscape as well as pocket park. 3. Collecting data for the future use as well as report this conclusion every month to the council regarding the quality of air and how the council should react on it. To conclude, the project aims to revitalise urban landscape and rise the opportunity of the small pocket space. It is not only for the aesthetical point of view of the city but also to generate a better quality of life and level of livability for the city dweller.
