This places are able to create comercial areas and leisure activities. 4_Waste management: The management of the waste and cleaning services are also so important to have pleasant spaces to walk or stay around. 5_Weather: This is maybe the most personal characteristic of a liveable city, because I’m from Spain. The hours of sun and the soft temperatures are important points that make comfortable a city to live. My current city, Alicante, is far away of being a liveable city, according to the characteristics above. Alicante has almost no green areas, and their are mostly in the surroundings of the city. The public transportation is not bad, but it could be much better. The motor vehicles traffic is kind of crazy, and it has the priority over pedestrian in most of the roads. The garbage collection, and specially, selective collection, is not good enough, which create a lot of unnecessary waste during the year. The only point where my city beats all the rest is the weather. The sun shine almost all the days during the year and the sea makes the temperatures soft, both in winter and summer.
