Order them placing the most important at the top of the list. - Green areas _ Quantity and quality of green spaces well located in the main urban matrix. - Public transportation _ Connection and cost of the public transport network. - Bicycle path _ The relation between dedicated space for bikes, bikes racks, bike path; instead of space for cars. - Space for culture _ Presence and variety of Theater, Cinema, Library, Bibliothec etc. - Square for social interaction _ Understood as square or openings in the urban matrix destinated to the melting pot of cultures and needs of the people living the different neighborhood Step 3_Describe the status of your own city in terms of the five characteristics that you listed above. Propose how your city should/could be transformed in relation to these characteristics in order to be more sustainable Avellino, my birth city. A small city in the south of Italy. Is still a compact city surrounded by agricultural zones, but the city it self for sure could have more parks or urban garden, maybe well inlaid in the urban matrix in order to make every park achievable within 15 min by walk. Theather and cultural center is maybe the most problematic point but in urban reality such as small cities could be helpful create a unique multifunctional cultural zone that could serve all the citizen and being able to be easy connected with the public transport network and bycicle path. This could create areas with different caractheristic respect the rest of the city and give the choice to the citizen to “use” a more chaotic city o a more “quite” ones.
