The five most livable cities I know are: 1. Brest, France 2. Barcelona, Spain 3. Montreal, Canada 4. Quebec, Canada 5. Los Mochis, Mexico. The five most important characteristics for the liveability of a city are: 1. Public transportation 2. Natural environment 3. Security 4. Economic environment 5. Consumer goods In Hermosillo, public transportation is seriously lacking in infraestructure and service quality. The natural environment is available, but in a deteriorated state. The city is very secure with political stability, low crime rates and law enforcement in place. The economic environment is at an all time high, with a lot of industries implementing their businesses in the city, giving local people work. Consumer goods are available and there is no problem obtaining most products in Hermosillo. In order to be more sustainable, the city needs to take advantage of its natural environment and protect it. By making the public transportation system more efficient and accesible to everyone, the city would be a lot more sustainable because people wouldn't feel the need to use their private vehicles.
