Summer heat in Mashhad : Up to 19 degree celsius ........ hotter than nearby rural areas average 3.8 degree celsius ........ hotter than nearby rural areas I think it is a result of pollutants in atmosphere of Mashhad city 3. Which are the measures you would propose? fuel efficient, public transportation, materials in use for build roads and highways , carpooling usage , .... 4. Is UHI effect concerning policy making in your area? No , Unfortunately our government doesn't have any attention to this issue . in particular about air pollutions . in addition , we don,t have enough supplies to measure UHI principles
