1)Water is the most important stock in Itauna-MG (Brazil). Itaúna, in Minas Gerais, is a privileged city. Very close to the urban area there is a dam called Benfica's. There, one can find the clean water that supplies the whole city and, in addition, has beautiful landscapes and a hydroelectric plant. 2)The concept of stock and flows is more than I thought before this course. Water is a good example of it, and I didn’t know it. “There is no city without water”. Water is the most important thing to be alive. We can use water to transport, stock in lakes and drinking. “Water is a technical, and artistic, and architectural, and a landscape architecture element”. 3)Stocks and flows can change the future throw the knowledge of what they can really means. Like I said about water in the last question, other example is wood. Wood is important construction material and heating resource. “It's overuse around cities might have caused local and regional climate changes, and in some cases led to the demise of the city. Wood is prone to fire, and was therefore replaced when possible by more fire resistant materials.” This information about stock and flows has led to its own infrastructure, which is increasingly consuming space and energy, and thus influences the other stocks and flows of the city.
