Most liveable cities that I know.  1 - Geneve .CH 2 - 's-Hertogenbosch .NL 3 - Bourdeaux .FR 4 - Firenze .IT 5 - Boston .US Five characteristics that according my opinion make a city liveable. 1- Security 2- Availability of products and services 3- Social well-being 4- Entertainment 5- Public transportation The status of my own city in terms of the five characteristics listed above. My city town: Porto Alegre, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil Rates between 1-10 (higher notes are better ranking) note - characteristic 3 - Security 5 - Availability of products and services 4 - Social well-being 6 - Entertainment 5 - Public transportation Propose how your city should/could be transformed in relation to these characteristics in order to be more sustainable. - To increase security we need more offers of jobs. - In order to be more sustainable on the criteria of "Availability of products and services" we should recycle better and burn waste to produce energy. - To have a better Social well-being we need to reduce the diference between the poor and rich. - No comments about Entertainment, but I feel that people without culture does not have interest by quality entertainment - Our public transportation is in a caos, doesn't respect time schedules, doesn't have enough vehicles, doesn't have security, doesn't have air conditioning, but they make a lot of noise and pollution
