I checked the the temperature differences that have been recorded in New York, Chicago and Atlanta and their surrounding rural areas due to UHI effect. It turns out that in the that in the glam cities, megacities, Quito its dense housing and population, temperatures are dramatically higher than those in their surrounding rural areas. The city, where I live is small, but in terms of the climate, it is a very livable city. The city has enough space and space for the deployment of all necessary buildings, which is nice, but also preclude the need for setting high ones. Which in turn would overshadow a lot and would produce quite unpleasant spaces. A big plus for the city is the presence of foehn wind that brings fresh air and prevents stagnation and without ventilation. But also there times of the year when the wind is very strong, which is the reason for the rapid cooling of buildings. it is less in winter. On the picture I attached we can see the city center, which is a large square space, surrounded by tall for the city buildings. For this reason, there are formed winds and turbulence, are not particularly pleasing to the people. For the UHI issue here is not doing any studies, surveys and are therefore not taken action in this regard. If you have the opportunity suggest something about it, it would be in connection with insulating buildings. This would lead to the preservation of perfect suited microclimate, both in town and in vatrezhnite spaces. This would invalidate the strong influence of wind and rapid heat loss.
