FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"

The esplanade of the ministries was constructed to be seen from any place in which person is located, to give a monumental aspect to the city. But from the point of view of the pedestrian this choice is very bad. There is no places to stop, there is no benches to sit on, there are no trees. The feeling you have is that you will not get in your destination, because the sun upon you when walking in this place is so warm. In addition, the city seems to have been constituted, especially in this location, to be lived by the cars and not by the people. The very wide streets are difficult to cross, cars at high speed, nothing favors people to enjoy this great space. No computational resource is needed to show that there are many design problems here, trees should be planted, perhaps those with long trunks in order to maintain the monumental look at the level of the observer. This is a strong and powerful example, you can easily see the problems, but let it clear that even in seemingly well-designed locations using the tools of collecting invisible information will help to find ways to improve the place.
