The routes are for going from residence location in Veldhoven to regular workspot at the high tech center in Eindhoven. The routes compared are: Route 1: cycling Most enjoyable and relax. Veldhoven and Eindhoven have very good, separated cycling routes. The cycling time is very moderate (16min). there are no red lights on the route, and the main road to cross has a cycling tunnel conveniently located along the route. It provides exercises, and sometimes the opportunity to meet friends (as they cycle or as I pass their house). Route 2: public transport I never used this option. It is twice as long, one has to take the bu schedule into account. Route 3: On very rainy days or when subsequent travel during the day is important, I sometimes take the car. In normal circumstances it takes as long as the cycling route. However, in the morning large amount of people come by car and jams occur. Furthermore the parking lots tend to get full after 8:30 in the morning. It does hardly allow for meeting acquaintances. Therefore this option is seldom used.
