I live in Quebec city, Canada. 5 reasons why I live there: 1. Culture: Quebec city is a city where culture and heritage is important. As a cultural and geographic crossroads, Québec City is like a bridge between Europe and the Americas. The city offers a host of attractions and events that promote its francophone roots. No matter what the season, there's always a festival or a cultural event happening in the city (Image 1). 2. Education: Quebec city has good universities and college. Also, the cost is relatively low when you compare it to others American cities. 3. Housing: The housing cost in Quebec city is relatively low when compared to other north American cities. Also, there is a large choice of type of housing. 4. Recreation possibilities: This city offers numerous recreation possibilities as cultural events or sports events for example. Also, a lot of National Parks are close to the city so you can enjoy nature in protected area without driving too far. 5. Climate: We can enjoy warm and hot climate in summer and cold climate during winter. The balance between the two types of climates is perfect to practice summer sports but also winter sports. The sun is present for the majority of the days in Quebec. EXERCICE 3: To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria? 1. Culture: 85/100 2. Education: 75/100 3. Housing: 80/100 4. Recreation possibilities: 90/100 5. Climate: 75/100 General livability score: 85/100 EXERCICE 4: What would you change? I would increase the public transportation offer and invest more in public space and I would try have have more human scale neighborhood. EXERCICE 5: Why do we move? 1.
