I am very lucky I work, shop, exercise at a community rec center, and my kids all attend a school that is within 1 mile from my house. I generally walk to work every time or telecommute. I do drive to the rec center and store most of the time, and my children take the bus to school about 50% of the time. When I drive them I try to double up on my trip so I will drive them and go to the store or rec center. I have a very walkable town and need the exercise so I appreciate the fact that I have the ability to walk or ride bike.
