1. Which are your top livability criteria? - Job Opportunities - Safety - Sanitation Standards - Infrastructure - Climate 2. Why do we live where we live? I live in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. The five most important reasons I live there are: - Interesting job opportunities at high salary - International and diverse city with English as a main language (together with Arabic) - High living standards in terms of residential buildings and infrastructure - Very safe - Very clean city 3. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria? - Job Opportunities: 100% - Safety: 100% - Sanitation Standards: 80% - Infrastructure: 90% - Climate: 30% 4. What would you change? - Make the city more pedestrian friendly and less dependent on cars. This would include improved public transport, car-free zones, higher density of buildings and restaurants, and more greenery to provide shade. 5. Why do we move? Places I would like to move to: - Helsinki: very safe, nice climate, a lot of culture, great ambience/architecture, great infrastructure - Seattle: great job opportunities, good infrastructure, great options for outdoor activities, very safe, very clean - New York City: great job opportunities, very vibrant city, a lot of possibilities for entertainment, I have a lot of friends in the city, very international
