For me the criterias that influence city's livability are: 1.Climate 2.Economy 3.Job opportunities 4.Education 5.Transportation I live in Sarajevo, capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Main reasons why I live here are: 1. Education, 2. Variety of events, 3. Job opportunity, 4. Natural enviroment, 5. Diverse cultural life http://www.itsbohemian.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/cobble-streets-of-sarajevo-bosnia.jpg http://www.visit-sarajevo.com/upload/image/sarajevo//09.jpg http://www.sarajevo-mountains.com/slike/galerija/sarajevo/sarajevo-katedrala.jpg To what extent does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria? 1.Climate (70), 2.Economy (60), 3.Job opportunities (60), 4. Education (50), 5. Transportation (20) What would I change? A lot of measures can be taken to improve the livability of this city. Main problem is the transport which is not organised because a lot of the houses are placed on slopes connected with narrow roads. Another issue is to improve the space for pedestrains and cyclists. Air flow has been reduced to minimum and in winter times the whole city is covered in fog and dust leading to many diseases and infections. If I had the chance to move it would probably be to a city like Vancouver. It has a temperate climate, job opportunities, education, natural enviroment and good trasportation. Another city is Amsterdam. It has a good education, variety of cultural events and shows, job opportunities, huge spaces for pedestrians and cyclists and good transportation. Oslo is also in that group. Even tho it has extremely cold climate, it has good education, job opportunity, diverse cultural life, good trasportation and natural environment.
