![Benito Juarez, surrounding rural area][2] ![temperature difference of 4 degrees][3] **Which are the main UHI effects that you can identify in your area?** From the meteorological service of Argentina, I found a difference of about 4 degrees between my place of residence (San Isidro, Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires) and a town in the surrounding rural area called Benito Juarez, although my city has a low rate density (you can see in the picture that the main density is medium and the 10 floor buildings are spread out). **Which are the measures you would propose?** I would encourage the preservation and increase of the green area, and review the policy concerning construction boundaries because I think at this level of urbanization we are in time to prevent a more crucial effect. **Is UHI effect concerning policy making in your area?** This topic is missing in the local policy. It only concerns about habitability in terms of air and illumination conditions, and in some cases about the energy efficiency of the construction systems to prevent high levels of energy consumption (but this concept is recently being discussed and scarcely applied only as policy prizes).
